Compare like with like
Higher or Lower presents two facts and asks you to compare the stated measure. First identify the metric and unit. A larger population is not the same as a larger land area; an earlier date is not the same as an older age. The direction of the answer depends on the actual question.
Worked example: convert units first
In a practice comparison, a route of 1.2 kilometres is longer than a route of 950 metres. Convert 1.2 kilometres to 1,200 metres before comparing the numbers. Looking only at 1.2 and 950 would lead to the wrong result. The same principle applies whenever two quantities are expressed differently.
Make the next run more useful
Use the revealed value after answering to improve your sense of scale, rather than memorising which side won. For changing facts such as populations or records, the date and definition matter. Send a source with any correction so the comparison can be checked consistently. Consecutive correct answers build a combo; one comparison at a time still requires a fresh reading.
This guide uses separate teaching examples. Report a question or suggest a correction with the game name and the wording you saw.
