About this General Knowledge Quiz
Choose a difficulty for a 20-question run. Each answer includes feedback, and a complete review is available when you finish. Use the guide below to practise the topic before you start.
Questions and explanations
Build connections between facts
A mixed quiz asks you to switch topics rather than stay in one area of expertise. Read the question before comparing the choices: a word such as “smallest”, “first” or “normally” can change what is being asked. Start on Easy to find gaps, then try a harder level for a different challenge.
Worked example: what makes a number prime?
Consider 1, 2, 4 and 9. A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 with exactly two positive divisors: 1 and itself. The answer is 2. The number 1 has only one positive divisor, while 4 and 9 each have an additional divisor. This definition is more useful to remember than the answer alone.
Make the next run more useful
When an unfamiliar question appears, eliminate choices you can rule out for a specific reason. After answering, read the feedback before moving on. If you guessed correctly, treat that as something to revisit rather than something you have mastered. The final review collects the questions from your run; you can use it to pick a topic to practise next.
