Choose your kind of number game
Number Route asks you to build a calculation; Math Rush asks you to answer calculations against a clock. The numbers may look familiar, but the decisions feel different.
We compared the current rules of our Number Route and Math Rush games. Here is a small taste of each, without revealing a live puzzle.
Build a route
Imagine the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4, in that order, with a target of 5. Number Route works from left to right: add 2 to 1, multiply the running total by 3, then subtract 4. You arrive at 5.
Written with brackets, that is ((1 + 2) × 3) − 4. The brackets matter: ordinary calculation conventions would give a different result if you wrote the operations without them.
Or meet the minute
Math Rush gives you 60 seconds. Correct answers add 100 game points, wrong answers subtract 50, and skipping adds nothing. The score never falls below zero.
Choose Number Route if building that little chain appeals. Choose Math Rush if you fancy a timed round. Neither result is an IQ score or proof that one player is better at every kind of maths.
